It is able to provide a service covering the collection and full recycling of all obsolete, faulty and surplus computer and telecoms equipment and peripherals, transferring Controlled waste in line with the Duty of Care (Environmental Protection Act 1991) and consinging Hazardous Waste in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations. Secure Destruction Service

IT-GreenĀ® provides an extensive data destruction service for its clients in Cambridge. Its "Zero incident rate" has been achieved through the application of Due Diligence and extensive security measures, all designed around BS EN 15713 (2009) and NIST 800-88 procedures. The destruction of confidential data bearing media incorporates:

  • UK HMG CESG IS5 binary wiping solutions (both baseline and Enhanced) & more stringent US DoD 5220.22-M 7 pass Purge.
  • Shredding/ Shearing of hard disk drives
  • Granulation/ Disintegration of Optical (CD/ DVD) and solid state (USB, Non Volatile memory) to 4mm.
  • Shredding of Magnetic (Tape based, DLT, DDS) based media.

Full destruction certificates are provided upon the completion of the IT Disposal process. Certificates include the make, model, serial number and method used in the disposal process.
