Hazardous wastes in Printers

Re-using Equipment

We're aware that the WEEE directive calls for re-use as part of the recycling process and have a UK based end-user market for viable equipment. However, of the wastes we recieve at our facility, only some 10% of printers can be re-used. The remainder are either beyond re-use or cheaper to buy from new than to refurbish.

OEM toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges are re-distributed through specialists that ensure their remanufacture and re-use inside the UK.
