IT-Green employs a separation process for such units, which are then turned back into glass inside the UK for use in new light bulbs.

We're aware that the WEEE directive calls for re-use as part of the recycling process and have a UK based end-user market for viable equipment.

 

Of the wastes we receive at our facility, only some 10% of printers can be re-used. The remainder are either beyond re-use or cheaper to buy from new than to refurbish.

 

OEM toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges are re-distributed through specialists that ensure their remanufacture and re-use inside the UK.
